Terms of use

1. Who these terms are with

These terms are an agreement between you and Bharat Dudeja ("we"). By downloading, installing or using Skillerr, you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use Skillerr.

2. The software

Skillerr is a desktop web browser that AI tools can control, either AI apps you connect (such as Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Cursor) or Skillerr's built-in agent using a model or API key you provide. Skillerr is free of charge. Your use of the code is also covered by [license name and link]. If that license and these terms conflict, the license governs the code.

We may change, pause or stop developing Skillerr at any time.

3. Your AI provider

Skillerr doesn't include an AI model. You choose one: an app you connect, a model running on your computer, or a provider whose API key you enter. Your use of that AI is between you and its provider, under its terms, pricing and usage policies. Any fees they charge are yours to pay. We are not responsible for what an AI provider does or for what a model outputs.

4. You are responsible for what you direct

An AI acting in Skillerr acts on your behalf, in your browser, with your logins. You agree that:

• You are responsible for the tasks you give an AI and for every action taken in Skillerr while you use it, including actions you approve and actions taken because you turned approval mode off.
• You will follow the terms of the websites you use. Some sites don't allow automated access, scraping or bots. It is up to you to check and comply.
• You will follow applicable laws, and you won't use Skillerr to access accounts or systems without permission, to send spam, to harass anyone, to commit fraud, or to get around security measures or access controls.
• You will review what an AI did before you rely on it. AI can make mistakes, misread pages and act on wrong assumptions.
• If you record a site or other people's information, you're responsible for having the right to do so and to share the recording.

5. Safety features are not a guarantee

Skillerr shows what an AI is doing and gives you ways to intervene:

• Actions that look sensitive (password fields, payment or identity details, buttons that may spend money, confirm or delete something, and sign-in forms) wait for your approval, even with approval mode off. If nobody approves within about a minute, the action is declined.
• You can pause the AI or take over at any time, and undo the last reversible action.

These features reduce risk, but they can't remove it. Skillerr decides what's sensitive by reading the page, and it can miss things: an unusual page layout, a misleading label, or an action that doesn't look sensitive but is. Undo covers only some actions, and can't reverse anything a website has already processed, such as a sent message or a submitted order. Web pages can also contain hidden instructions meant to mislead an AI ("prompt injection"). Skillerr tells AIs to treat page text as untrusted, but it can't guarantee an AI won't be fooled. Don't let an AI act unattended on accounts, money or data you can't afford to lose.

6. Skills and other third-party content

Skills are instructions that someone else, or an AI, wrote. Skillerr checks the seal on a .skill package with the skillerr command-line tool and shows who sealed it when it can, but a seal is not an endorsement by us. Install skills only from people you trust. Skills an AI saves for you with the save_skill tool are written by that AI, possibly from what it read on web pages. Skillerr asks you to approve each one, so read it before you approve. Websites, AI providers and AI apps are provided by third parties under their own terms, and we're not responsible for them.

7. Your content

You keep whatever rights you have in your content, recordings and settings. We don't receive them. See the privacy policy for what Skillerr stores and where data goes.

8. No warranty

Skillerr is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, or that it will be secure, uninterrupted or error-free. 9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, money, goodwill or access to accounts, arising from your use of Skillerr or of any AI, website or skill used through it, including actions an AI took in Skillerr. Our total liability for any claim relating to Skillerr is limited to [the greater of the amount you paid us for Skillerr (currently nothing) or [amount]]. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

10. Indemnity

If someone brings a claim against us because of how you used Skillerr, including what you directed an AI to do or a breach of a website's terms, you agree to cover our reasonable losses and costs from that claim, to the extent the law allows. 11. Stopping

You can stop using Skillerr at any time by uninstalling it. The privacy policy explains how to delete the files it keeps on your computer. Sections 4 to 12 continue to apply after you stop.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [jurisdiction], and disputes will be handled by the courts of [venue], unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim locally.

Robot checks and websites' rules

Skillerr leaves robot checks (CAPTCHAs and “verify you are human” pages) to you and blocks AIs from interacting with them. Don't use Skillerr to get around a website's access controls or to break its terms. You are responsible for how you and the AIs you connect use the websites you visit.

Skillerr Pro

Skillerr Pro is not on sale yet, and nothing is charged today. When it launches it will be sold through Lemon Squeezy, which will act as the merchant of record and handle payment, tax and receipts, and these terms will be updated with the price, billing, cancellation and refund terms before any charge.

Downloads and your email

We ask for an email address before a download. See the Privacy Policy for how it's used. Early builds are not code-signed; your system may warn you before opening them.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We'll post the new version here with a new effective date. If a change is significant, we'll also mention it in the release notes. Using Skillerr after a change means you accept the new terms.
